Deputy President William Samoei Ruto continued his charm offensive campaigns popularising his presidential bid today November 15th 2021 in Kiambu County.
He was accompanied by Member of Parliament for Thika Town, Hon Patrick Wainaina, Kimani Ichung'wa (Kikuyu), Njuguna Wanjiku (Kiambaa), former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and former Thika town MP Alice Ng'anga.
He was also accompanied by former National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale, Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba and South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro.
The Country's second in command made a group of people who engage in small scale trade which makes up 80 per cent of all businesses in Kenya. The DP acknowledged that those engaging in such businesses face serious challenges including lack of access to credit and are also victims of harassment from various administrative agencies.
In his message to the county residents, Ruto stated that the Bottom-Up economic model he is advocating will provide funding at low interest rates, enact laws to protect them and build infrastructure to enable their growth.
The Deputy President held political rallies at Ngoliba, Magogoni, Kilimambogo, Gatuanyaga, Makongeni and Kiganjo estate while on his way to the African Christian Churches and schools in Thika, Kiambu County.
