Martha Karua, Narc Kenya party leader says that Mt Kenya region is ready to support any presidential candidate as much as their interests are taken care of. Karua says that they want to vote come together as the whole of Mt Kenya so that they can have great bargaining power arguing that they do have strong numerical support.
"We have a date next week for the validation process in Limuru. We shall then agree to take that wish list to whichever presidential candidate we support and as the candidates come to campaign in our region, we expect them to respond to the issues," Karua said when she appeared on Citizen TV on Tuesday evening.
Former minister Karua says that Mt Kenya leaders now have a task to hunt for the right candidate who will ensure Mt Kenya's people interests are taken care of. She has blamed some leaders who are busy looking for positions that will fit them well after next year elections sayings that they are doing so because of their own stomachs.
"I am from the Mt Kenya region and I do not know that positions are being shared evenly. It has been a case of who knows who and we have to start blaming individuals, not regions, for such appointments," she added.
