The deputy president on 8th of January in Eldoret sports grounds during his campaign launch pulled a huge crowd that shocked the opponents. The people of Eldoret showed him that they love him as their kingpin.
The deputy president is experiencing some opposition from some leaders in the rift valley region like Lunyangapuo governor West pokot county, governor Tolgos , former gubernatorial aspirant Uasin Gishu county Hon Buzeki, Tarus, William Chepkut and other KANU leaders led by Baringo senator Gideon Moi.The deputy president despite all those opposition the deputy president William Ruto still enjoys dominance in the region.
Today the deputy president toured west pokot county where he led the bottom up campaigns accompanied by the leaders from the area led by west pokot mp Lilian Cheptoo, Peter Lochkapong, former west Pokot governor Simon Kachapin and other national leaders Kipchumba Murkomen senator Elgeyo Marakwet, Mp for Kikuyu sub county Kimani Ichungwa and Ndindi Nyoro mp Kiharu.
The deputy president was welcomed with a multitude of people who were there to listen to him. The deputy president enjoys massive support from Rift Valley region and currently is trying to concolidate the supporters in the region .
