The Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa is out of the country to United Kingdom, where she is attending a global conference on Prevention of S3xual violence in London.
This was revealed by Kenya's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Manoah Esipisu through his Twitter account.
Esipisu revealed that Jumwa would be speaking on partnership with UK on the issue.
"Was delighted to accompany CS Public Service and Gender CS Aisha Jumwa at the opening events of the Prevention of S3xual Violence in Conflict Initiative global conference convened in London by @FCDOGovUK (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office). CS Jumwa will speak to Kenya's campaigns and partnership with the UK on this subject," he tweeted.
The FCDO also tweeted, "Today the UK is hosting an International Conference on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict. We will ensure greater justice for the most vulnerable and put survivors’ needs at the heart of our approach."
This trip comes days after Jumwa affirmed that her ministry will be keen to deal with increased cases of teen pregnancies and and early marriage, saying that those who will be found capable will face the rule of the law.
