The campaigns for different aspirants have been ongoing in the country even though the official dates by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) gazetted the same to be 29th May 2022.
In a video shared by Saudi Arabia Central Bank Adviser, Mohamed Wehliye, Jubilee aspirants had convened a meeting in Mandera County where they are drumming support for their candidacy ahead of the upcoming general elections in August.
The rally had supporters from all over the County with many donning red t-shirts that do resemble the colours of the Jubilee party, one of the parties that form the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
According to Wehliye, Azimio will get 98 per cent of the votes of the crowd that attended the meeting can translate to votes on August 9th. He further alleged that there will be a fierce contest between aspirants vying for different seats under tickets from ODM, UDM and Jubilee.
