Why DP Ruto's Chief Of Staff Was Chased Away From Devolution Meeting

Deputy president William Samoei Ruto on Thursday candidly established that he will not be accompanying the projected Devolution meeting as he had other schedule.

Ruto was assumed to be the Chief Guest at the 7th and annual final Devolution Conference in Wote, Makueni County. However, his communications director David Mugonyi cooroborated on the last minute that the DP Will not be able to show up.

On Friday, November 26, 2021 Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya voiced to media houses that despite Ruto not showing up for the meeting, he sent his chief of staff to speak for him.

However, Oparanya established that Ruto’s move to send his chief of cadre was not a smart move and in fact it was disrespect hence sending the chief of staff away from the meeting.

Oparanya further noted that there was no genuine reason given by the office of the deputy president as the devolution meeting was planned earlier than his campaigns.

Ruto who is among the politicians seeking to take over after President Uhuru’s term in office ceases has been on the frontline in campaigning.
