The Commander in Chief Of the Defense Force and the President of the Republic of Kenya His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta today addressed the new 298 Cadet graduates at the National Police College ‘Kaganjo’ in Nyeri County. The President ordered police to be ruthless when it comes to giving directions and ensuring security.
In his speech the president touched that there is a ban in export or selling or buying scrap metal. The President said that those material sold as scrap may result from the build economic infrastructure. He said that individuals dealing in such business may in one way contribute to the economic degradation.
“We expect you to do your duty and execute your function as the law dictates. As of today, we will no longer allow and we have put a moratorium on the export or buying and selling of any scrap material until we have put in place proper guidelines that will ensure that material is not coming from the hard investments that the Kenyan people have made," the President stated.
