COTU-K vice chairperson issues new demand to President Ruto in his administration

The vice chairperson of the central organization of the trade union ( COTU-K) Rev. Joel Chebii has asked president Ruto to put in place new policies that will safeguard the future of Kenyan workers and employees.

During an exclusive interview with KTN News television, Rev. Joel Chebii revealed that President Ruto made a wise decision by appointing Moses Kuria as the cabinet secretary of Trade. He said Kuria has a better understanding of Kenya's trade and if proper policies are passed then he will do magic for Kenyan workers.

Rev. Joel Chebii said that the past regimes have been employing people from private sectors to serve in the cabinet secretary position of Trade. Rev. Joel Chebii said that cabinet secretaries of Trade brought from the private sector do not have a clear understanding of workers' plight.

"COTU Vice Chairperson Rev. Joel Chebii is asking president William Ruto to ensure his new administration puts in place tough policies that will safeguard the future of Kenyan workers", he said .

Rev. Joel Chebii claimed that the Ministry of Trade is in good hands. He added that the only thing President Ruto should do is propose good policies that will safeguard the future of Kenyan workers.
