In response to Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio, saying that former president Uhuru Kenyatta is not leaving Azimio, nominee Sabina Chege, a former woman representative for Muranga County, has responded.
Uhuru Kenyatta was rumored to be planning to step down as Azimio Council chairman. But Raila has brushed off the assertions as nonsense.
However, according to Sabina Chege, the ODM leader's statement discrediting Uhuru's resignation will cause greater disarray inside Jubilee and the alliance.
The departed president is now being urged to make a statement on the subject by Sabina Chege.
In addition, Sabina noted that Jubilee leaders had begun to defect as a result of reports that Uhuru was leaving the party.
Many Jubilee Party leaders started leaving the party after rumors of Uhuru's resignation surfaced.
Sabina Chege, who is also a member of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition Council, predicted that Raila's recent comments will just cause further confusion.
Uhuru Kenyatta was criticized by Sabina Chege for his continued silence. The Jubilee Party will continue to suffer because of Uhuru's silence, according to Sabina. Now, Uhuru is to speak and reassemble his group at Sabina's request.
The proposed MP went on to say that many politicians had given up their political aspirations because of Uhuru, and that he should not remain silent in light of this.
