Manyora's Remarks After Presidential Debate Stating The Big Mistake Ruto Did That Could Cost Him

On August 9, Kenyans head to the polls to vote in a highly contested race to decide the country’s fifth president. The incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta, who is nearing the end of his second five-year term, is constitutionally barred from seeking another term. Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, are the main contenders to succeed him.

According to political expert and analyst Herman Manyora, the race is already set and Azimio's flag bearer Odinga will win the presidential election by a clear margin.

Speaking to Citizen Radio on Thursday, 27 July, Manyora stated that deputy president William Ruto made a big mistake during the presidential debate that was slated on Tuesday, 26 July at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

Manyora has revealed that during the debate, Ruto was seen nervous, shivering and without confidence at all. According to Manyora, Ruto behavior and how he carried himself while responding to the questions asked he has made people lose confidence in him and that the mistakes he made at the debate are a win to the Azimio one Kenya coalition.

"Makosa aliyofanya Ruto ni kule kuchanhanyikiwa, kutokua na confidence, kutetemeka alafu nimeskia wengine wakisema alikua amekaukiwa" Manyora said.

Accorging to Manyora, all signs and indicators are clear that Raila will win the top seat, since those who cheered and jeered were only Ruto's suppprters hence the debate has not affected Azimio in any way.
