The special sitting in senate was not that different from national assembly. All this proceedings were full of temperatures. The last senate proceeding that was more chaotic was the Revenue allocation bill which saw Senate Proceedings suspended severally. Today's special proceeding was forced to go back to the same ugly scenes after Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot made this revelations.
Aaron Cheruiyot revealed to the senate that Mithika Linturi had been arrested aftter attending earlier senate sitting. The revelation by Aaron Cheruiyot sparked mixed emotions and the senate house was not taking any direction.
Mutula Kilonzo Junior boldly came out and called fellow senators to walk out if the senate house unless arrested senator Mithika Linturi was released.
Siaya Senator James Orengo did not keep quite and he joined Senator Wambua in louding his message where he alleged that the matter was not simple and to be taken lightly. It was not clear why Mithika Linturi was arrested when the special sitting was ongoing.
Due to bitterness and Kimani Wamatangi not able to advise fellow senators to cool down, speaker Senate Kenneth Lusaka did the unthinkable thing by suspending senate proceedings for 30 minutes until a solution was found as to why Mithika Linturi Was arrested.
