Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga found himself in huge criticism after trying to lecture Raila Odinga saying that ODM leader suppose to give his agenda instead narrating his history. Maina Kamanda Jubilee nominated MP was the first to dismiss the Kahiga's remarks saying that they cannot forget the history that brought unity in the country together.
Kama hujui historia basi utakuwa mjinga miaka yote. Ni lazima historia isomwe ndio tujue tumetoka wapi kama Kenya,” Kamanda said.
James Orengo echoed Kamanda saying that Kenya's history is the foundation of what the country is today.
" Hio historia ilianza hapa Nyeri na hatuwezi kusahau. We don’t want serikali ya kupewa tena.
Following that, Raila insisted that it is important to look at history in order to learn from past mistakes and get right direction.
