It is official that there will be a complete new team that will lead the nation in 2027 general election. This is after Cherera four that include Juliana Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Julius Nyang'anya and Irene Masit were forced out of the electrol body following their gross misconduct in 2022 Presidential election. Despite losing their jobs, the four rebel Commissioners are expected to get a good send off according to sources.
Despite being against President Ruto in last year's election, lawyers say the government has no option but give the four their full send-off package. "The three commissioners having resigned and their resignation having been received by the appointing authority, President William Ruto and Tribunal having concluded its proceedings, the government should now proceed with speed to process their terminal benefits,” lawyer Apollo Mboya said. The four are now waiting for their send off package after being in office for some months before resigning.
