According to the Nation newspaper today, all is set for Kalonzo's grand return to the Azimio movement. This is after the independent Election and Boundaries Commission stack is name out of the top contenders for the presidency in the August election which are now less than 80 days.
Kalonzo seems to be playing his cards close to his chest, as his moves seem to be well calculated as he targets a slot in the Azimio government after he failed to secure the deputy seat which was easily handed to Martha Karua after an intensive exercise to search for a suitable mate or Raila.
His return to Azimio will boost Raila's chances of winning the hearts of the Kamba region which felt shortchanged by the move by Raila to Sideline Kalonzo as his choice of deputy in the next elections. Kalonzo is yet to formalize the deal that will see him join Raila.
