Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo has made his opinion on the presidential polls known two days after accompanying the One Kenya Alliance principals to a luncheon hosted by Mount Kenya Foundation at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday 7th October.
As quoted by KBC, speaking at Covenant Worship Church in Ruai on Sunday, Jirongo endorsed Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to clinch the OKA's ticket stating that he is the best person who deserves to lead the country.
Jirongo had accompanied Kalonzo and his allies to the church service before they confirmed their details with the voter registration clerks at the IEBC polling stating in the church compound.
On Thursday, Jirongo urged the conveners of the meeting not to have a preferred candidate and that anyone eyeing the presidency and support of the Mount Kenya Region should be given an equal opportunity.
Kalonzo argued that a Wiper party government will give priority to fight against corruption, ethnicity and ensure the economy is revived.
A number of the allies of OKA group stated that their presidential aspirant would be arrived through a mutual consensus since three of their principals (Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Gideon Moi) have announced their presidential bids.
