Businessman and one of the 2022 presidential aspirants Jimi Wanjigi has again delivered a bold message regarding the reforms that the Kenya Kwanza government seeks to introduce in the police service. He said that the police have been involved in several crimes and it is time to reform the police service. He alleged that they have been murderers of innocent Kenyans. President William Ruto has vowed to reform the police service in order to end extra-judicial killings that have happened in the past.
Jimi Wanjigi in his statement said that, "We welcome the reforms in the Police service that are taking place. "The word 'authority' should not be a vocabulary when it comes to the Police. They are supposed to serve and protect us. The word 'service' should be part of their ethos. We should expect nothing less." He said that they need to change on how they have been operating under the regime of President William Ruto.
