Homabay Town Member of parliament Hon George Kaluma has asked the Kenya Kwanza government to move with speed and release the petty offenders who have been jailed for the past few years accross all jails in the Country, urging that most have been convicted on controversial grounds.
Kaluma now says that some politicians have been freed from jail, without any alarms or public engagements, and even given top priorities in the Offices, and appointments, hence leaving other Kenyans who have done an equal mistake or even less grave ones to keep rotting in jail, without someone who needs to help them out.
He further claimed that all prisoners who were jailed in the last 10 years should be set free from all the prisons, after considering the time lengths that they spent behind bars and also their files which were the prior evidence before the problem befell them.
However, while giving His final say on the same, the Mp tagged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Director of public prosecutions offices, while telling them that there is no best way to differentiate those Prisoners who were jailed on very legitimate grounds, and those whose charges were just forced on them and even have external influence.
His claims comes after Sirisia Mp John Waluke's story became a very sensational Topic accross all Kenyans, after He appealed to His case involving the sh 303 Million NCPB issue, that saw Him thrown in jail. He was later appointed by the Jubilee party on one of the important Committees, and on top He appealed, hence set to be released if His case will be granted a listening ear.
Kaluma joins other Azimio leaders who have been attacking President William Ruto and His allies for allegedly hunting down the ODM and Jubilee Politicians on matters that were settled, saying that the whip should apply to all politicians who should suffer the same fate if they are found guilty.
