While the likes of Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime minister Raila Odinga are still posed as the top contenders for the presidential seat once President Uhuru Kenyatta's tenure comes to an end, that cannot be said for several candidates affiliated to the latter as the face-off sets up fierce rivalry.
Earlier on yesterday, a politician allied to Raila's Azimio is said to have grappled with rejection after a barbaric group in Siaya County blocked his entry into Azimio One Kenya Coalition Rally and stoned his vehicle in the process.
While Gumbo (Gumbo is contesting for the gubernatorial seat on a United Democratic Movement (UDM) ticket) has urged his supporters to remain calm as they look to take over the gubernatorial seat come August, He is also set to face off with Millicent Oduor of Deputy President William Ruto's UDA party and James Orengo of the Orange Democratic Movement ODM party.
