Deputy President William Ruto's two-day tour in Gusii land has erupted a score of divergent opinions on the looming Gusii unity calls that is being championed by the super Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i.
Speaking on Monday 4th September during the fundraiser drive at Kiabigoria Secondary School in South Mugirango, Kisii County, DP Ruto's foremen dropped a bombshell at CS Matiang'i by dismissing the alleged secrets plans to forge for Gusii Unity forum that would see ODM and UDA allied MPs unite to mobilizer his (Matiangi's) unannounced presidency.
Mugirango South legislator Hon Silvanus Osoro who is Tangatanga's key heavyweight has slammed Matiangi's call for Gusii leaders unity foundation citing that it was I'll intended to grab a chance for him (Matiang'i) and foster his presidential ambition ahead of 2022.
"We thought the Gusii unity call was hinged on charting the interests of our people and absorb ideas that would resuscitate the ailing economy in our region, kumbe alitaka (Matiang'i) kutuleta pamoja so that he publicly announce his presidency. We are in Hustler Nation and our 5th president is William Samoei Ruto" Hon Osoro re-affirmed.
At the same time, Kisii County Deputy Governor Hon Joash Maangi heavily rubbished Matiangi's alleged secret Unity call among leaders drawn from ODM and UDA insisting that he (Matiang'i) wanted to advance his political ambition by technically trying to seek endorsement from Gusii leaders.
"I was the one who started Gusii Unity call in 2017, but when I realized that the plan wouldn't go anywhere, I decided to seek DP Ruto's intervention so that we can have a new home. UDA is our new home and DP Ruto is our project, any other person trying to call for unity is wasting time, we are already united in UDA" he said.
DP Ruto on the other hand urged electorates to embrace Hustler Nation's Bottom-Up economy revealing that it is the only hopeful model that address the interests of ordinary Kenyans.
