The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Right Hon. Raila Odinga brought Nairobi into a standstill after amassing a huge crowd during his visit.
Raila visited the streets of Soweto in Embakasi East where he was accompanied by the Member of Parliament in Hon. Babu Owino amongst other leaders.
While addressing the crowd, Raila asked the residents to support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) claiming that the initiative is aimed at improving their livelihoods.
The images of the crowd went viral in various social media with a ODM supporters hailing the residents for coming out in numbers.
Most internet users claimed that Raila's voice is still paramount in Nairobi County.
This came after DP Ruto's allies mocked the ODM party leader, claiming that people are tired of his leadership following his visit in Burma market where he was allegedly embarrassed by youths who chanted Ruto's name.
In his defense, Babu Owino shared a video of youths whom he claimed were paid to destruct Raila's meeting. The youths who stormed the office of the newly launched UDA party were seen demanding their pay claiming that they had done their work as agreed.
