The political conversation around the country has been changing day by day. This is in preparation for the August 2022 general elections. The deputy president, who is among the front runners for the presidential race, has on several occasions said that he will change the conversation of politics in the country. He then came up with the hustlers nation, a wave that has taken the country by storm. This has prompted the ODM brigade to launch what is now popularly reffered to as the strugglers movement. This was launched yesterday by the ODM youth league as an attempt to counter the hustler nation.
There has been confusion as to whether ODM is trying to copy UDA's campaign strategies. This came just a few hours after the strugglers movement was launched. However, the ODM director of political affairs, Hon James Opiyo Wandayi has come out to defend the strugglers movement.
"There is no relationship between the hustler's movement and the strugglers'. These are young people who are struggling and want to voice their opinions and views. This is a movement that should be encouraged just like any other movement." The Ugunja member of Parliament said.
