Jubilee Nominated Member of Parliament Hon Maina Kamanda, who is a currently a staunch ally to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, has once again hit at the Deputy President Dr William Ruto telling him to forget about buying Kikuyu community members with money to vote for him as the next president of Kenya.
Speaking during Raila's roadshow rally in Nyeri Town, Kamanda told off the second in command to stop thinking that he can buy or convince the Kikuyu Community members with money to vote for him in next year's general elections. Since Kikuyu members cannot be bought with money as the DP has been moving around the region dishing out money.
"You (Ruto) cannot buy a Kikuyu with money. Kikuyus are not bought with money, don't think you can buy a Kikuyu with money. We cannot be bought forget about that we are hard-working people we know how create our own money." Said Kamanda is Kikuyu language as lured Nyeri residents to support Raila's presidential bid.
