Outgoing Homabay county governor Cyprian Otieno Awiti, has today come out from his 'hideout' after months of absence from public limelight.

The Orange Democratic Movement party Governor was among the leaders who hosted Former prime minister Raila Odinga and Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party politicians during his tours of the lakeside county.

Also present at the rally was the Homabay county women representative Hon Gladys Wanga who is determined to succeed the outgoing governor.

Unlike other outgoing governors, Awiti has been missing in political rallies both local and presidential. His absence from the public had caused panic as residents and even the county officials wondering where he was.

His absence had also affected the operations at the county offices with county employees lacking the direction to follow.
