President Ruto's Powerful CS Who Will Not Face Parliament For Approval

President William Samoei Ruto on Tuesday named his preferred Cabinet Secretaries who will assist him in delivering his agenda to Kenyans. The head of state stuck to his word and named his allies to various ministries across the country.

His new team will have to be approved by the National Assembly before being sworn in officially into their respective offices. They shall be vetted and should anyone not approve, the head of state will have no choice but to name a new individual.

However, there is only one person who will not face the Parliament. President Ruto's Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia Mudavadi will not be vetted because he was chosen via executive order. His duties are different from those of the Cabinet Secretaries that were named.

Musalia Mudavadi's main functions include assisting the President and the Deputy President in coordination and supervision of government ministries and overseeing the implementation of government policies and projects.

He is also required to chair and coordinate the National government legislative agenda across all the ministries, coordinate and supervise the technical monitoring and evaluation of government policies and perform any other work that will be assigned to him by the President.
