Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has confirmed that he has written to the registrar of political parties indicating his intention to withdraw his Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party.
Following a squabble with Azimio coalition leaders, the party is attempting to withdraw its signature from the coalition agreement signed in March of this year.

"We confirm that Pamoja African Alliance has written to the Registrar of Political Parties on April 25th, 2022, seeking to withdraw from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party for the reasons stated therein," said Kingi.
The PAA's National Executive Council (NEC) claims that the party has been kept in the dark about Azimio's affairs and has been unable to access or understand the coalition agreement's terms.
Kingi, on the other hand, denied reports that he would join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto, calling the reports inaccurate and false.
