Ruto together with politicians allied to him is delving deep into the enemy lines with each campaign manoeuvre they make.
In each of his campaign trails, the second in command is keen on identifying fault lines evident in his opponents' political bearings.
It's evident that the handshake team are aggrieved with Ruto's recent trails into Raila's Strongholds, however, the Deputy President appears strong-willed to take over Raila's backyard or rather trim on the former prime minister's influence over the region.
With his grasp on the Bottom-up agenda and massive support from the Hustler's Movement, Uhuru's Deputy is rolling out policies to conquer Raila's turf.
Today, Ruto landed in Awendo Town of Migori county where he was welcomed by Governor Okoth Obado. Together they met UDA delegates from the Migori region and Mr Ruto was surpassing in praises towards them, saying that their non-hesitant effort has helped shape UDA has an impressive party in the region.
While on their way to an SDA church for a proposed fund drive, Ruto's motorcade was stopped by residents who applauded him and welcomed him into Raila's bedroom.
He had to stop and address the gathering and in his admission, as echoed by Governor Obado, Uhuru's deputy will meet Awendo residents around the Jogama area. The meeting is expected to bring in a massive gathering that will see Ruto address the locals on Bottom-up economics.
"Tunaenda kanisani harakaharaka nakama venye naibu rais amesema tutakuwa na mkutano kubwa pale karibu na Jogama. Na hio mkutano itakuwa ya Amani. Itakuwa yakusema yakwamba mamlaka iko Kwa wananchi," said Migori Governor.
Ruto's political wing is focused on seizing whichever shot that would bring Raila down. Judging from the warm reception the gathering gave him on his way to the church, it's worth mentioning that the second in command will be received with a huge audience later in the day. This will help Ruto lieutenants dismantle Raila by affirming that even his bedroom is shifting focus to DP Ruto.
