Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairperson Wafula Chebukati suspended the gubernatorial election in the counties of Mombasa and also in Kakamega county.
The dates of conducting the gubernatorial elections will be gazetted later.An opinion Poll has been conducted by Infortrak Research Company to alledge who is likely to win the Kakamega Gubernatorial race if the election were to be held today.
Those who are contesting for the seat include Fernandes Barasa on a Orange Democratic Movement Party, Senator Cleophas Malala who is Vying under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition, Cryus Jirongo on a UDM Party, Micheal Osundwa and Kanyanya Suleiman.
Opinion Poll results displayed here below shows that Fernandes Barasa is leading with a percentage popularity of 40 percent while Senator Cleophas Malala is second with a percentage popularity of 28 percent
UDM Candidate Cyrus Jirongo is third with 1 percent while 22 percent were undecided on who they prefer to be the next Governor.
