Yesterday, deputy president William Ruto ally Benson Mutura was nabbed by detectives who had obtained a court order.
According to sources, Mutura who is accused of Squandering public funds was nabbed at the Nairobi County assembly after a fierce standoff.
During the dramatic arrest, members of the county assembly allied to the deputy president William Ruto chased away detectives who tried to effect his arrest.
Nevertheless, speaking after the whole drama, Mutura accused his rivals from Azimio of trying to Punish him for his current political stands. 
The famous city speaker joined deputy president William Ruto's team several weeks ago.
Since then he has been on the receiving end with so much drama expected.
According to CitizenTVKe, Mutura who has been accused of stealing public funds has been released on a 500k shillings cash bail.
Details as to where the cash was stolen from still remain scanty as the case continues to unfold...
