Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili famously known as ĺBabu owino has told president William Ruto stop the abolishment of HELB Loans.
The MP said the following on his twitter account, "HELB achana nayo kabisa, he addressed this to president Ruto. He said that university students are poor and the only thing that will help them from poverty is Education.
The Mp and also law maker said that we live in a world where by every hour is for change and challenge, decade of hope and fear, in an age of both knowledge and ignorance, the greater our knowledge increases the greater our ignorance unfolds, he said.
Babu reacted on this after president William Ruto announced that he will abolish HELB and TVET funding and introduce another new way for university funding.
Embakasi East MP urged president Ruto to let the poor students access to HELB Loans, since abolishment of such loans will lead to university dropouts.
