DP Ruto Responds to Uhuru, Says He Doesn't Have To Be The President Giving Fresh Conditions

Deputy President William Ruto has responded to recent remarks by President Uhuru Kenyatta on the issue of two tribes ruling the country issuing fresh statements.

Speaking on Sunday, Deputy President William Ruto has said that he doesn't have to be the President come 2022 issuing fresh conditions.

According to DP Ruto, he has explained that even if it's not a must he lands to Presidency, he must ensure he is on the table when the national conversation is going on with other hustlers.

"I don't have to be the President but I must be on the table when the national conversation is going on with other hustlers, it cannot be an exclusive club of the elite!" DP William Ruto has said.

The Deputy President has added that the focus for 2022 should not be based on tribal politics but on ideology in ensuring Kenya have good leadership.

On Saturday during the burial ceremony of Mama Hannah Mudavadi, President Uhuru Kenyatta was recorded saying that leaders should stop dividing this country and his main agenda is to ensure he leaves a united Nation Kenya.

The President said that he wants to see equality in leadership explaining that other communities should also be given a chance at the National top leadership too.

“Let us respect one another…if that is the rationale, then I can also say that there are only two tribes that have occupied the top seat, perhaps it is time for another community to lead,” said the President.

“There are many communities in Kenya…let us stop dividing Kenyans. We want a strong and united Kenya," added the President.
