Political Expert Predict Votes Ruto Will Get in Mt Kenya After Raila Chose Karua as his Running Mate

Since the week started, political experts have been giving different views following the appointment of Narc Kenya party Martha Karua, and Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto's running mates respectively, and how they can influence Mt Kenya Region politics as well as the August elections.

In an interview with KTN News on Friday, Political Expert Tom Kagwe claimed that nobody should entirely depend on the support of Mount Kenya, as the residents have a different voting stand compared to what they show during campaigns.

Kagwe went on to say that the ground in Mt Kenya, will most likely be shifting and by August 9th, the United Democratic Alliance, UDA party will be having 50 per cent or less support, while the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya team will garner 50 per cent and above after Karua got Raila's DP slot.

"As at now, the UDA Party is at 80 per cent in Mount Kenya, but having observed the region politics and its voting pattern since 1992, you should not bet on the region votes."

"I do not know what happens when people go to vote. People know exactly what they want, and I believe by the time we will be voting, it will be 50 or less for UDA."

Central and Rift Valley have been considered as Ruto's strongholds, even though he has support across the country.
