IEBC Chairman Wafula Chubakati has officially announced the dates in which the general elections will be taking place. Many people had a clue that the general elections will be taking place on the 9th day of August but they were waiting for official communication from the electoral board. It is now clear that Kenyans will be voting for their favourite politicians on the second Tuesday of the eighth month of 2022.[Photo Courtesy]
Wafula Chebukati has also outlined dates for the pre-election processes that will be happening before the official elections are held in August. It is somehow a reprieve to those who were worried that the elections might be postponed following the pending BBI appeal that is currently happening. Most people thought that the BBI appeal might have made it difficult for elections to be done on time since referendum was supposed to be conducted if it passes.
Kenyans have been left with wild reactions after this news reached them. They claim that they are now sure on when to be ready for this big day. Most of them have reacted with their preferred candidates crowning them as the next president of Kenya. The presidential seat is one of the most anticipated one in the coming elections and people will be waiting to see who will win.
