"Watapigwa Na Butwa" Kanini Kega's Message To Kenya Kwanza Over Low Voters Turnout In Mt Kenya

Kieni constituency member of Parliament Hon Kanini Kega during a press conference after voting today.

Kieni constituency member of Parliament Hon. Kanini Kega has broken silence over the low voters turnout in Mount Kenya region.

Kega who addressed the media shortly after voting in his constituency, noted that the voters turnout in Mount Kenya region will not affect their Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party in anyway arguing that those who risk being affected are the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team.

He argued that Ruto's team had been depending on the huge number of votes president Uhuru Kenyatta got in the last three elections to win the presidential elections.

"Wale ambao walikua wanasema watapata kura kama zile rais Uhuru Kenyatta alipata watapigwa na butwaa." He said loosely translates to, those who used to say they will get same votes same as those of Uhuru are in for a rude shock

Kega predicted that the voters turnout in Mount Kenya will not exceed 70%.
