Mt Kenya foundation a club of tycoons and billionaire business persons has finally settled on Raila Odinga as the preferred candidate in the Mt Kenya region. It's a big blow to Kalonzo and Wetangula as well Gideon Moi and Mudavadi following the unfortunate event.
It's clear Mt Kenya tycoons did an interview with some 2022 statehouse candidates to know of the person who would protect their interests. The fact that they have settled on Odinga is a confirmation that moving forward OKA leaders are on their own.
It's a fact Mudavadi and Kalonzo expected the support of Mt Kenya foundation to beat Odinga. However as things stand it's clear the foundation has made it clear they will back Odinga against OKA leaders who can join the party of their choice moving forward.
However whether other OKA leaders will bow to pressure and back Odinga for the top seat moving into the 2022 general election, only time will tell. The fact of the matter is that the foundation has decided and that's the route that Uhuru will take moving forward as he is also keen in backing Odinga against his deputy.
