NEWS JUST IN: Makueni Governor Off The Hook as Court Throws Out Petition Against His Win

The August General Election petitions are still being heard and decided across the country with the petitioners as well as those that won waiting in bated breath to learn the outcome.

So far, a few Members of County Assemblies have lost their seats in petitions that have been successful as per the reports that we have with us this afternoon.

The County of Makueni is headed by Governor Mutual Kilonzo Jnr who won in the August General Elections against his closest rivals by a wide margin using the Wiper Democratic Movement party ticket.

The Wiper Party is led by Kalonzo Musyoka who has maintained a firm grip on the Ukambani region as far as politics is concerned.

This afternoon, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from Makueni County, Governor Mutual Kilonzo Junior has all the reason to smile after the latest court ruling.

There has been relief for the Makueni County Governor His Excellency Mutula Kilonzo Jnr after the court dismissed the election petition against him.

According to the reports that we have with us this afternoon, the court has cited insufficient evidence as the reason for the dismissal of the Election Petition that was filed a few months ago.

H.E Mutual Kilonzo Junior will thus continue his first term in office as the duly elected Governor of Makueni County as per the reports that we have with us from the Courts.

Let us know your thoughts and opinions on this latest development from Makueni County after the court upheld Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior's win in the August Polls.
