Orange Democratic Movement ODM party has sent out a message to their newly declared winner of the Fafi Ward MCA seat after he was handed the certificate of winning by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
Through a special message on Friday morning, ODM party noted that the certificate was handed over by the IEBC following a court ruling that declared him the winner in the August general elections.
Earlier, the IEBC had declared one Kolosho Ahmed as having been elected under the UDM party but the court ordered fir a recount of votes which led to the clear show that the ODM candidate had won

After the vote recount, the judge ordered Mr Aden and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to issue a certificate of election of the MCA Fafi ward to Mr Gedi within five days.
IEBC will have to also give Sh300,000 each to Mr Gedi and Mr Aden as costs for the petition.Each of the lawyers representing the two will get Sh250,000 from the electoral body.
