Speaking on Wednesday July 6th after hosting Raila Odinga, his running mate Martha Karua, and other leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance for a campaign rally in Gatundu, Nyoro said that the community made the right choice to support Raila.
The governor who is eyeing the seat under the Jubilee party on August 9 polls, told Raila that he is assured of good number of votes from the county in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Here in Kiambu we are saying that it is 'Baba na Mama' to means 'Raila and Martha Karua.' I do request you to remain here. When you see us in Mount Kenya following Raila and Martha Karua is because we know where the government will be, and this is the right place where the country will move forward led by Raila," said Nyoro.
The vocal politician called upon the residents to elect him in August assuring them that he will be completing his projects and starting others which the residents needs for an improved and bearable living.
Nyoro come August will be facing off with Safina Party candidate Mwende Gatabaki, United Democratic Alliance's (UDA) Senator Kimani Wa Matangui, Chama Cha Kazi's and incumbent Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria.
Others are Kimani Wainaina alias Jungle who is eyeing the seat as an independent candidate, Tujibebe Wakenya Party leader and Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
