Mombasa county governor, Hounerable Ali Hassan Joho is a key ally of Orange democratic party leader Raila Odinga. On several occasions in 2017 general election, him and Kilifi governor, Amason Kingi campigned for Odinga making sure that he got a lot of votes compared to any presidential aspirants. Kilifi County managed to deliver all member of County assembly positions to ODM Party. Something that was celebrated across the country. Joho also delivered several votes to Odinga, and he is considered region Kingpin by many Kenyans.
Well, how Joho and Kingi might make Deputy president William Ruto president come 2022? Let me take you through some analysis made by this writer. Currently, Kilifi County governor is not in good relationship with Orange democratic party leader. He was even dethroned as party chairperson, Kilifi chapter. His ouster elicited mixed reactions from locals who felt like ODM Party was doing a mistake removing someone who fought for the party in previous elections.

With Kingi out of ODM Party, Deputy president might capitalize on this and unite with Kingi whom they were in Orange democratic party together in 2007. If Ruto manages to get Kingi, he will be lucky to have such a brilliant mobilizer in his Husters nation camp. He will help him deliver county votes and even help him mobilize whole coastal region. Well, let's wait and see if ruto will move for Kingi soon, keeping in mind that he has Aisha Jumwa who is aclose ally of Amason.
Back to Joho. This is a man who is hard to pull out of Orange democratic party. Anyway, as people say, there is nothing impossible in politics. If Ruto fails to get Joho, he can capitalize on his latest move of endorsing orange democratic party leader for Presidency and backing down on his ambitions. With Joho not vying, it will be between Ruto and Raila. This can go either way keeping in mind that Ruto is currently getting huge reception from the region. Well, time will tell.
