Laikipia women representative Cate Waruguru who is a close ally to the Deputy President William Ruto has aimed a veiled dig at Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua for her antics where she has appeared to be leading Anti Ruto sentiments in recent weeks.
According to Waruguru, Mount Kenya leaders led by Martha Karua, William Kabogo and Mwangi Kiunjuri should stop the sideshows and make up their minds and openly declare their support for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
"I am calling upon my sister Martha Karua, Mwangi Kiunjuri and the others to stop telling us that you are being compelled to dissolve your political parties, The constitution protects our parties. It doesn't matter whether it is big or small. Everybody is entitled to forming or joining any party,” she remarked.
Waruguru argued that the country has only two serious candidates for the Presidential seat in Raila Odinga and William Ruto and Karua and her team were disgruntled with Ruto then they should join the Raila bandwagon.
She further urged them to make grassroot inroads and win over the support of the people instead of holding regular boardroom meetings aimed at compelling the people to vote for particular candidates as she termed their claim of being told to break their parties to join UDA as a lie from the devil.
