Following a fight that has broken out between Kenya Kwanza's top leaders, division and betrayal are looming in the camp of President William Ruto.
According to Nation, Murang'a Women Representative Ms. Betty Maina is furious with Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Alice Wahome because she accused her of betraying her community during the just ended bi-elections.
Wahome's failure to support any candidate in the effort to find Miss Maina's replacement startled Miss Maina, who had accused Wahome of being a plumber rather than a water CS.
In Ruto's government, Wahome was nominated for the position of Cabinet Secretary. However, after being nominated, Wahome's seat was left vacant. Wahome's situation did not turn out well, however, as Murang'a leaders believe she betrayed Ruto's UDA party.
Wahome defended herself by claiming that since she is a voter from the Murang'a community, she is not allowed to support any candidate in the kandara bi-election according to the legislation.
