Nyeri: Youths Tell Raila Not To Give Them Money, Makes Fresh Demands

Today the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has met with youths, elders and other political leaders drawn from both the ruling Jubilee party and ODM party in Nyeri County where many issues have been discussed.

During the event, a youthful national vice chairman 'Kiama Kiama' named Njoroge has send a message to Raila stating that as youths from the region, they do not want the six thousand shillings that he promised to give to needy Kenyans if he becomes the next president.

According to Njoroge who was representing the youths, they want to be given jobs and ensure their businesses are thriving otherwise the money that was promised should be given to the elderly persons.

"Bwana Prime Minister watu wa Mount Kenya sisi hatutaki kupewa kitu wana youth wamesema tukueleza tupate nafasi ya kufanya kazi, kufanya biashara wapate pesa waeke kwa mfugo na hawataki kupewa. Hiyo Ksh 6,000 wacha tupatie wazee vijana wapewe nafasi ya kufanya kazi that is what we want thank you very much," said Njoroge.
