General election is nearing and all the candidates are campaigning across the country.Mt Kenya region has the highest registered voters compared to other regions in Kenya.Both Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition nominated their preferred presidential running mates from Mt Kenya region.Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua and Martha Karua are expected to deliver more votes to their coalitions from Mt Kenya region.
Rigathi Gachagua has been campaigning for William Ruto after being nominated as running mate.He has been campaigning in all regions in Kenya and particularly in Mt Kenya region.
Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua took his campaign in Marakwet county yesterday.Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate urged the residents of Marakwet county to elect only UDA candidates.He made the remark in attempt to dissuade Rift Valley people not to vote for Independent candidates in the next general.He said the independent candidates are after their own interests.He also said that electing other candidates that are not UDA candidates makes Ruto a general without soldiers.This is according to Nation news.
