Prof. George Magoha, a former cabinet secretary for education, is now a professor at Maseno University's school of medicine.

The appointment is effective, according to Maseno University's director of public relations Owen McOnyango, who spoke to Citizen Digital on Tuesday.

Prof. Magoha's experience will boost the department, according to Dr. McOnyango, who also said it is a fantastic hire for Maseno.

He claimed that Prof. Magoha is a well-known professor whose prior connections will be advantageous to the university and the medical students.

From March 2019, Prof. Magoha worked as the Education CS in the cabinet of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
