Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has urged Kenyans to skip the Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo Stadium, which will be led by President William Ruto, and instead attend his rally that day at the Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi East.
According to the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement party, there is no reason for them to attend the event; instead, they will congregate at Jacaranda for their own gathering.
He said that the celebrations in Jacaranda, which are now taking place to honor those who fought for Kenya's freedom, will feature live bands and cultural displays.
The former prime minister also informed his supporters that they would be providing them with guidance regarding their next course of action.
