Those labeling us ‘State House’ project have sensed defeat in 2022 - Musalia Mudavadi

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has fired back to rivals who claim that the recently formed One Kenya Alliance is a statehouse project.

Speaking to Egesa FM on Wednesday, April 21, the former vice president opined that those alluding so have sensed defeat and have realized that their chances to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta for country’s top job in 2022 are diminishing.

Mudavadi instead called upon his competitors to talk to the people of Kenya and leave them to decide who will be the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.

“We should tell Kenyans what we intend to change in their lives if they elect us and then leave it up to them to decide who the next President will be,” he said.

This comes at a time when speculations are that Kenya’s power brokers are angling for Gideon Moi-Musalia Mudavadi presidential ticket, a pair that is considered safe to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

“Either Gideon or Mudavadi is the proffered next president and the deep state will stop at nothing to actualize this. It is clear they are a safer pair of hands compared to William Ruto,” a source familiar with the matter revealed.

One Kenya Alliance brings together leaders from the Rift, Western, and Ukambani a strategy to win support across the country. These leaders; Musalia Mudavadi- ANC, Kalonzo Musyoka- Wiper, Gideon Moi- KANU, and Moses Wetangula of FORD Kenya, have traversed the whole country and this has earned them a plus in the countries political score board.
