On Thursday last week, President William Ruto officially opened 13th Parliament to allow commencement of house businesses. As result National Assembly convened its first siting yesterday.
Tomorrow, Speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetangula is expected to give a ruling on who between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition has majority in National Assembly.
That will pave way for formation of Parliamentary Committees. One of these committees is Public Accounts Committees. The chairperson of the powerful committee always come from the opposition. This means that the chairperson of PAC will come from Azimio which is opposition in parliament.
Senator of Narok county Ledama Olekina now pleads with Raila Odinga to consider Babu Owino for PAC chair. Taking his twitter account, senator Ledama asked Raila to consider youthful MP saying that he won't disappoint.
"I know how hard @HEBabuOwino worked during the campaigns for @RailaOdinga Baba please consider him for PAC chair of the National Assembly he won’t disappoint," he said.
