A well-known blogger has claimed in a post on Twitter that the chief of staff for the DP, Davis Chirchir, and the communications director for the UDA, Wanjohi Githae, had been detained at the Bomas of Kenya as the vote count was taking place.

The counting of ballots is still ongoing, and the top two contenders for president are still in a dead heat with one another as more votes come in.
DP Ruto had earned 6,106,783 votes, which is 49.11 percent of the total, while Odinga had received 6,244,271 votes, which is 50.21% of the total. This information is current as of 3:32 PM. The gap between these two rivals is around 1.1% of the total market share.
Because both sides are sure that they will emerge victorious, celebratory stages have been set up on both sides in anticipation of victory.
