Ruto on Why a Few Individuals Won't Make a Decision For Kenya

Deputy president William Ruto has finally broken his silence about the Mount Kenya Foundation- a group of influential tycoons from Mt Kenya, said to have been tasked by President Uhuru Kenyatta to vet potential candidates who can succeed him in 2022.

The group has already met ODM leader Raila Odinga, with another meeting scheduled with OKA chiefs (Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi) on Friday.

Speaking at his Karen residence on Thursday where he hosted grassroots and religious leaders from Machakos led by MPs @DrMunyaka, Vincent Kawaya, Nimrod Mbai and UDA Chairman @nduyamuthama and several MCAs, the DP dismissed MKF activities, saying a few group of wealthy individuals can't make a decision for Kenyans.

"Some few Individuals will not congregate and make decisions for Kenyans because they have money or influence. It's the ordinary citizens who'll make decisions for Kenyans." Ruto said dismissing Mount Kenya Foundation.
