MP Who Threatened To Return Car Gift to Pres Uhuru On Tight-Rope as Opinion Poll Results Are Out

Youthful Igembe South MP who threatened to return the car gift he received from President Uhuru Kenyatta is standing on a tight rope ahead of the eagerly awaited August poll.

John Paul Mwirigi made headlines when he threatened that he would return the car to Uhuru so as to put to an end the endless attacks he was receiving from Kielekwe's side, particularly Agriculture CS Peter Munya.

It all started when he dumped President Uhuru and decided to stick with Deputy President William Ruto.

New opinion poll results

A new poll by Mizani Africa has revealed how tight the race is in Igembe South, with the leading candidates only 0.9 per cent apart.

According to the opinion poll result released today, John Paul Mwirigi is only leading with less than 1 per cent.

If elections were to be held today, Mwirigi would have managed to get 43.6 per cent of the total votes, with the second person, Mwenda Mzalendo getting 42.7 per cent of the total votes.

With only a few days remaining, and that slight difference, both Mzalando and Mwirigi stand a chance to win in the coming general election.

It will only depend on the aspirants' finishing tactics and the 1.2 per cent of the undecided votes to decide to who laughs last.
