On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Nairobi County's Jevanjee Gardens had a prayer rally led by former prime minister Raila Odinga.
The former prime minister took use of the occasion to pressure President William Ruto and his administration to cut the cost of living in the nation while simultaneously making other requests.

The former prime minister issued the administration a 14-day deadline to meet all three requests, failing which he will lead a large-scale uprising against the president and the government.
"We shall lead Kenyans to massive mass action across the country to take their power back and restore sanity," warned Raila, who was joined by Karua, Kalonzo, Wamalwa, and other leaders. "If these demands are not heeded within fourteen days, we shall lead Kenyans to massive mass action across the country."
While reprimanding him for the threats, the President didn't hesitate to speak up. According to the head of state who appointed the Nairobi River commission, his government cannot be blackmailed by the opposition.
President William Ruto issued a warning, stating that he will make sure the law is upheld and the constitution is adhered to in its entirety, and that he is prepared to retaliate against anyone who puts the nation in danger. He said no one is above the law and that everyone in Kenya is treated equally.
On the other hand, Raila has threatened president William Samoei Ruto and his parents to meet his demands. This is a very unfortunate threat the president is the commander-in-chief of the armed Forces in the Republic of Kenya. It is now evident that Raila Amolo Odinga is not against Kenyans but he is against handshake in the Ruto's of government. Kenyans especially the youths should be on the lookout going to be used as a weapon final position for Raila Amolo Odinga in the government and they end up suffering a lot.
William Samoei Ruto's government has been credited only 14 days by Raila Amolo Odinga To fulfill their demands but Ruto has clearly stated he is not giving Raila Odinga any position in his government.
